HOUSE IN IRELAND FOR SALE

Welcome to our homepage, which was created to sell our house in Ireland.

We – a German couple (early 50s) – had planned differently and wanted to grow old here. At the first viewing in November 2016, we fell in love with this house and its fantastic location and sealed the purchase with a handshake on the same day. We accepted the regular commute to the office in Dublin for the sake of our dream home.

The purchase was finalised in the summer of 2017 and we were able to plunge into the renovation phase as the new owners. This was completed in the summer of 2018 and we were still planning so many new things with the house and the large property.

But rarely in life can you foresee everything, and things turned out different than expected: just as we moved from Bavaria to Ireland for professional reasons, it is back to the German job market for us. We don’t want to be split in two, working in Germany and living here as holiday guests, although that’s how the previous owners handled it.

Many things were bought specifically for this house and various pieces of furniture were custom-made, the house could potentially be taken fully furnished.

Although we have moved a lot in our lives, this sale is very difficult. It may be because of our age, because we thought it will last forever, or just because it is so beautiful here. This house is the ideal size for us, and the location could hardly be better. We will miss Ireland and its lovely inhabitants very much in fast-paced Germany, but new employment determines our lives and thus where we live.
